The “Why” of True Contributors
Hi and welcome!
I'm Dr. Nahed Artoul Zehr and I'm the founder of True Contributors – a boutique training and coaching firm that equips teams and cohorts to thrive in the modern workplace.
As we welcome you to the world of True Contributors, we wanted to share the “Why” of our business - the reason we exist and the outcomes we strive to provide.
True Contributors was born out of my professional experience as a team member and a leader. Throughout my career I've encountered people who had tremendous potential but were lacking a key set of skills – things like emotional agility, a growth mindset, or the ability to have a hard conversation.
At True Contributors, we believe that every person is capable of growth and development. We all, within ourselves, have the materials necessary for “self-actualization” – the process of becoming the strongest and most capable version of ourselves that we can be. Yet, while we all have the materials we need, most of us do not have the training we require to see what we're truly capable of. While we may be trained or educated in the specific skills needed to perform our jobs, we do not have the training to unlock our full potential.
I recognized that I, too, needed more training in several critical areas if I wanted to grow. I started researching the skills and competencies that would help me become a True Contributor and implemented and practiced them in my life. I worked hard to make changes within my mindset and to acquire the skills I needed to work towards my goals and aspirations - and I saw real results.
I'm an accomplished researcher and a former university professor, and I am confident that these skills are teachable and learnable. I've developed into a person and a professional who can move the needle on a critical issue – and who has a track record of results in very different types of roles and organizations. I've worked hard to hone the True Contributors skills in my own life and career, and I want to provide that opportunity to others. Nothing lights me up inside like seeing people, teams, and organizations recognize their potential and make real strides to reach it.
Through True Contributors, I've combined my academic and real-world leadership skills to create a program that would equip anyone, regardless of their place in the organizational chart, with the skills they need to thrive at their workplace – to be a True Contributor.
As you look at our logo, you'll notice the plant growing in the middle of the T and C. This is a representation of our belief - our confidence - that the True Contributors program will lead to growth and transformation. The self-development process is continuous – we never exhaust our potential to grow. We look forward to learning with you and from you.
